. Применительно к облигациям и векселям, - ставка купона, деленная на рыночную стоимость облигации . The yield of a bond or similar instrument, taking into account only the current interest and the price paid. Computed by dividing the annual interest by the purchase price. Example - You purchase a bond for $900 (with a face amount of $1,000) that pays $40 twice a year. The current yield is 8.89% ($80 divided by $900). The current yield is not a true indication of the return on your investment if the purchase price is not the same as the face amount. In the example above, your total return would be greater because at maturity you'll receive $100 more in principal than you paid for the bond. The return will be affected not only by the face amount to be paid at maturity, but also by the time to maturity. Инвестиционная деятельность .
